Full Description

Complex consists of the railway station buildings, the entrance and booking office, the toilets, the station masters house, mail depot, waiting rooms, lamp room and loading ramps. They are mostly without major alterations, apart from the entrance and booking office. Most of them are in original use and still standing. The site also included a number of buildings connected with the station which have been demolished, extending over nearly 1km - see ref for details. The earliest map appearances were from 1885. (1)
