Full Description
Tramway, from boating station to railway and Hawton Gypsum Quarry. Now dismantled. (1) (2) (3)
Now mostly built over the only remaining tramway is at the Gypsum works. Evidence of the tramway can still be seen as a terrace on a playing field near Farndon road, and in hedge lines. Used until c 1940s. Earliest map appearance 1860's. See NIAR archive file for detailed description. (4)
