Full Description

Neo stone axe with partial perforation and a BA perforated stone hammer found in the garden next to Car Colston School (above NGR) in c 1890. (1) (2)
The stone hammer is a pebble macehead. (3)
Both implements are BA (see L8111). A BA bronze javelin head has also been found here. (4)
Col Blagg said that the finds were all made in his father's time and could give no more accurate sitings. He believes all the finds to be in Newark Museum but the javelin head could not be identified. (5) (6)
