Full Description

A small L-shaped ditch at S end of field completely overgrown with bushes. It appears to be the remains of a small square sconce (120ft sq) directed northwards along the road to Coddington. Not mentioned by RCHM but may be a defensive work just behind the lines of circumvallation and just below hill crest. (1)
Housing estate has altered landscape - also oil seed rape crop covers site specified but no trace in mature crop of any monument. (2)
See M3641 for nearby site of fort, M18183 for lime kins.
