Full Description

RLN1 - No concentrations of flints were found, however the finds tended to diminish towards the higher ground in the SW of the site. Of the 184 flints recovered, 58 could be described as a tool of some kind including 2 arrowheads and 5 hammer or pecking stones. The 126 flakes and cores, 2/3 of the total, are an interestingly high proportion, and would seem by their wide patination to indicate a sustained level of domestic activity in this area. (1)
See L3986 for nearby finds.
Much fieldwalking in this area - see SMR map.
