Full Description

The W tower in its main masonry probably C13, the rest restored out of existence. Two monuments, to a man and a woman, c.1300, probably not of the Spigurnell [sic] family as tradition upholds. (1)
The church was restored by the … Rev. F. J. Taverner, in 1870. The north aisle was then added, and the chancel extended about nine feet. Nothing of the late Norman work in the church could be preserved. The two most interesting stone effigies … [I] suggest … are those of Edmund Spigurnel and his wife, AD 1296. (2)
