Full Description
Hosiery mill - c 1875 ? "C18" ? Stone building in good exterior condition. A later brick extension at the back. Originally constructed by Alcock. 4 storeys and one cellar. It began by being power driven. The buildings are now shared by North's Textiles and Engineering and Mudfords. 143ft long, 34ft high, 76ft 10in wide. No original machinery, only modern hosiery equipment (09/07/1965). (1)
Sherwood Mill, Sherwood Street - textile mill. Stone building, some brick additions. 19 bays long, 2 storeys high plus loft lights. Vertical sash windows, 2 bays wide. Windows blocked at SE end, loft doors (not useable) at other end. (no ref)
