No earthworks or soilmarks indicative of desertion seen in the vicinity of the present community of Nettleworth which comprises some 4 or 5 houses, a farm and the remains of a partly demolished hall. (3)

The hall was built in 1785 and the surviving parts are the square block which stood at the rea and a N wing that was probably servants quarters and offices. Sandwiched between this and its S end is a fragment no more than two metres wide, probably of a former hall. (4)
