Full Description

Terminus of Mansfield-Pinxton line (horse drawn), 1819, on S side of station yard. (1)
Demolished c.1984, dismantled and moved to Midland Railway Trust, Butterley, Derbys. Not yet re-erected. (2)
Between Station Street and the present railway station is the site of Portland Wharf, partly enclosed by a hgh stone wall … A small stone warehouse of two storeys bearing the date 1819 can be seen, and nearby are single storey buildings which were probably stables. (3)
