Full Description

Windmill - no cap or sails on circular, mainly stone tower. Long disused, now part of a smallholding, used to shelter pigs and poultry. (30/12/1968). (1)
Windmill at Bradmer Hill. A tower mill of 4 storeys, the lower 3 built of stone and the top floor of brick at a decreased batter. No cap, sails or machinery. Appears to be used as a store. (2)
Mostly stone tower with brick upper part. No top or sails. (3)
Stone tower miill of 3 storeys (28ft high) with a brick top. No cap. (4)
Windmill. Early C19. Raised mid C19. (5)
Late 18th/early 19th century 3 storey stone windmill. Raised by 19 brick courses. Tarred at some point but almost all weather away. Disused by 1897. Cap and machinery removed post early 1900. Former farm storage and possible domestic use given the presence of a modern boiler unit. Floors and ceiling in pace but in poor condition at time of the survey. The rela-tively short period of use. Early 20th century photo shows the windmill with an Ogee cap. 19th century ancillary building is located to the rear of the windmill. Referred to as a flour mill on the 1885 OS map and as ‘disused’ on the 1897 OS map. Photographic archive submitted to Mansfield Museum (MASMG 2016-489). (6)
