Full Description

Small quarry, c 1900, producing dolomitic limestone, used at Warsop Main Colliery for building and burning for lime (a series of kilns attached). During WWII greatly extended, up to 400 tons per week sent to Sheffield for blast furnace lining. Quarry now completely filled in with colliery waste. (30/12/1968). (1)
