Full Description

C19 rope making factory. The ropewalk was originally along the side of Sherwood Street, the cabin was at the site of Appleton Street shops. Ropes made were sent to pits and local large houses. The ropewalk stretched from the cabin to the site of Sherwood School. 02/07/1964. (1)
