Full Description

Probable Saxon triangular masonry can be seen c.12ft high on the W face of the tower. Contemporary stonework is also on the S side of the tower. (1)
The horizontal course of triangular stones on the W face of the tower is probably Saxon. (2)
The triangular stones are as described above. The SW of the tower has been rebuilt in antiquity, the S side twice, but a small original part survives with a small central buttress. (3)
The tower is evidently early Norman. The tower arch … [has] the crudest, biggest zigzag. The E. E. contributions [include the] S door and S porch … and the S arcade. N arcade and N windows C14. The clerestory and the present roof are … Perp. [The] vestry was added after 1500. (4)
