Full Description

The Old Hall has long been pulled down. The site of it is about 400yds E of the present Hall Farm, and is now under the plough. On it are to be found many fragments of brick and tiles, and pieces of pottery and earthenware. (1)
The tenant of Hall Farm nearby told me that there were foundation stones in a field near the farm, but they could not be seen as they were under wheat. The site is 2 fields to E of farm. Parts of the old Hall, the iron studded door and some diamond paned windows were incorporated in the farm house. (2)

Roughly 60m x 60m rectilinear cropmarks visible in aerial photographs which are probably remains of old hall.

See M4167 for Fishponds.
