This moat still exists. (3)
This feature has been filled in and ploughed over. The island was rather narrow and it is possible that it was a moated pond. The field is at present corn stubble and examination of the site for traces of building debris was not possible. (4)
SK 747624. Limestone roofing slates were found c 20ft W of the site of the moat. (5)
