Full Description

Ro sherds of colour coated and coarse grey ware found. Possible agger of Ro road flanked by ditches, known locally as the "old road". (1)
The site indicated above falls on level arable ground, nothing seen on the ground. Col Vere-Laurie of Carlton Hall, the owner, knows nothing regarding the pottery, and indicated the "old road" some 300m to the N of the given grid ref. This was abandoned when the railway was built. (2) (EMAB grid reference likely inaccurate - find spot moved to the site of the Old Road).
See L4198 for nearby cropmarks.
