Full Description

Ossington is Oschintone in DB, and Ossington in the Feet of Fines, 1190- 1760. (1)
Ossington listed as a deserted village. Nothing visible on available APs (OS 1967). (2)
Site of deserted Med village of Ossington. (3)
There are no surface indications of desertion in the indicated area, the former park to the C18 hall is now under high crop. Holy Rood church is C18 and there is no evidence of an earlier building. (4)
