Full Description
The dovecote and barnes. (1)
A number of buildings shown, S of stream. (2)
Site bulldozed and ploughed over (sic), but still plainly visible in the winter wheat. Foundations showing and beneath the surface. No signs of a moat. The old road from the Hall to main road and to the ancient chapel (M 4453) shows clearly in the ploughed land. I am told by "the locals" that extensive foundations were to be found on the site just N of the river where new houses have just been built, a few hundred yards away (ie site of Hall, M7473). (3)
Nothing visible of levelled site. (4)
It appears that the wrong area has been scheduled - the site of the small group of farm buildings, rather than the site of the Hall which lay to the N. (5)
See M7473 for Hall, M4453 for chapel.
