Full Description

Roving bridge on the Chesterfield Canal, 1771-77. This is an original red brick bridge, but with some repairs. There are also stop grooves on the eastern side of the bridge, and there are remains of the container for the stop planks. In use. (1)
Roving bridge SW of Osberton Hall takes the towing path from the north bank to the south. (2)
