Full Description

Pair of lodges and gateway, 1789. Ashlar, brick and render with plain tile roofs. Built in 1786 by the 2nd Duke of Newcastle. So called because John Truman and his family went to live there in July 1786. (1)
There is a series of five gates by Wright … towards Worksop, Truman's Lodge, a castelllated archway and lodge. (4)
Named 'Trueman's Lodge'. (5)
