Full Description

The walled gardens, greenhouses and associated building cover about 3.5Ha to the N of the house. Along the N side of the enclosure is a range of glasshouses with a palmhouse in the centre. There was a border lined grass walk through the centre of the garden from the Cedar Avenue. To the W of the walled garden were further glasshouses and a bothey and there are other buildings to the N. The gateway from the Cedar Avenue into the walled garden has suffered considerably from subsidence. (1)

While laying a new water pipe through the grounds of Clumber Park, a series of walls and a water chamber were revealed.
