Full Description

Bridge and cascade. 1763. By Stephen Wright for the Duke of Newcastle. (1) (3)
The bridge parapet has been vandalised and repaired in the recent past and a section was damaged (--/11/1985) when a car went over into the lake. There is a large outlet from the lake, now disused, just upstream of the bridge on the left bank. There is a brick structure on the downstream side of the bridge on the same bank. There is a tree growing over this, which has caused some damage to the arch of the small opening in it. (2)
Bridge shown on Chapman and Sanderson. (4) (5)
See M 4590 - record for Clumber Park.
