Full Description

Flints and flint implements from the vicinity of "Farley's House" and "Westwood". (1)
All finds apparently made by Mr S Linley in 1946-8, distributed between NWM, NUM and "Margidunum Collection" (in NUM ?). (1) (2) (3)
The general area of the finds covers approx 1 sq mile. Finds in NWM and NUM. Mr S Linley was not traced. (4)
The bulk of the flint finds in this area were made by S Linley from 1946-8, but there are some later finds (see L4627). It would appear that some information has been duplicated at different grid references (especially by NUM records), but it is doubtful that any more accurate findspots will be forthcoming. This scatter probably covers a very large area and all find spots should be regarded with caution. (5)
