Full Description

Bank with outer ditch which follows outline of Gamston wood. NW corner shows traces of triple bank and ditch system. Inturned bank on E side (N bank destroyed by recent plantation) but probably inturned entrance. Possible double bank at NE corner, with mound just inside, 3ft high (barrow ?). N/S ditch also on E side of Eaton Wood. (1) (2)
A possible barrow, 20-30yds SW of the NE corner of Gamston Wood. (3)
Gamston Wood, now thickly covered with almost impenetrable undergrowth; the above suggested tumulus was not located. (4)
