Moat and fish pond. No ref.
A large fishpond was almost certainly associated with the now demolished C18 hall and additionally another smaller one. (1)
The 2 ponds have the appearance of a large "moat" around the hall. (2)
1787 plan of Thorney depicts the lakes as they are currently. (3)
