Full Description

Linear cropmarks forming rectilinear field system. Also a few small enclosures, eg E of Hodsock Forest Farm. Probably continuation of L 4858. (1)
Cropmarks of a cluster of c 4 subrectangular enclosures, each c 600sqm, NW of Hodsock Farm at SK 622846, and associated with brickwork plan fields, possibly of Ro date. The farm buildings appear to partly cover another cluster where there is part of a double ditched D shaped enclosure of c 700sqm. The large block of fields is planned with regularity, with field sizes from 0.9 to 1.8Ha. (2)
Morph: 106.1.9 Roman farmstead, 106.1.10-12 Roman enclosures; part of group: Roman settlement. (3)
See L 4834 - cropmarks to E, L 4857 - to N, L 4858 - continuation to W, L 4861 - to S, L 4864 - to SE. See SMR map (SK 68 SW and NW).
