Full Description

An "ancient moated enclosure", in the old hall orchard field at E Leake, was built over by Sir Thomas Parkyn when he erected a manor house c 1710. The building was demolished c 1785. (1)
Hall Orchard Field centred at SK 55082630. (2) (3)
Nothing can be seen in Hall Orchard Field, but a ditch feature resembling a moat is evident at above grid ref. The feature does not appear to have been mutilated by building operations. (4)
Hall Orchard Field and the AP site are now both covered by modern development. (5)
