Med well discovered during road widening - built over by a wall, made of material from church demolished in 1773. Shaft diameter 4ft - 4ft 3in, cut through local keuper marls and skerries, no lining. Water reached at 18ft 6in, full depth estimated to be at least 25ft. 566 sherds of pottery found - Torksey ware 9, Stamford ware 7, Shelly wares 13, later Med wares 536.
