Full Description

Newstead Park, formed after the Dissolution, was wooded and well stocked with deer but was broken up into farms and denuded of trees in the concluding period of the Byron regime - the close of the C18. (1)
There was a Med monastic deer park probably superseded by the more recent park. There is no evidence of a Med or later boundary. (3)
No evidence of a Med or later park pale was found in field investigation. (4)
