Full Description

Foundations of a market cross were found in 1911 during excavations of the town street in Warsop. A cross was mentioned in 1505, and a sketch of the village in the BM depicts 2 cross stumps in 1787. (1)
Local enquiries and examination of documents and maps at the NCRO failed to produce sites for these crosses. (2)
