Full Description

At the end of Bath Lane is a holy well dedicated to the Virgin Mary. About 1823 it was used as a public bath. The well or spring is in the grounds adjoining Mr Goldie's mill (Bath Mill ?). (1)
No relevant feature shown. (2)
Goldie's Mill still stands at SK 54796171 (name painted on roof). There has been much modern development in this area and there is now no surface evidence of a former well; local enquiry also negative. (3)
