Full Description

Whipping post. (1) (2)
The whipping post stands 1.3m high, is set by the side of the main road in an angle formed by the vicarage and church walls, and is protected by iron railings. The condition of the wood suggests that the shaft post is a restoration. The iron hand gyves on each side of the post appear to be original. No evidence was gained as to whether this is the original site. (3)
