Full Description

Walker's Manor. The small manor house E of "the croft", a field immediately E of the church. On a small scale map of Epperstone the manor house is sited ESE of the church. The house still exists (1916) very much as it was when the last Walker lived there. (Photo captioned Odingsell's Manor - M 5449 - is apparently described in text as Walker's Manor.) (1) (2)
The photo is undoubtedly of Walker's Manor which still exists with minor alterations. (4) The owner of this property stated that the earliest portion mentioned in the deeds was temp Eliz I, there is however no remaining architecture visible of the C16/C17, all external fitments being C18 and later. (5)
