Full Description

In a garden near the church at Halam, is a dovecote of Tudor brick. It measures 27ft by 24ft and is 30ft high to the eaves. The walls are 2ft thick. A modern window and doors have been inserted. It contained 1200 nesting boxes. The roof is tiled. (1)

The [dovecote] in the grounds of Halam House. Little to indicate [its] original use now the flight holes have been filled in. (3)
Dovecote, behind Halam House a short distance from owner's bungalow. Tudor? or Mid 18th Century. Rectangular brick structure, part of complex. Brick dimensions 9 in by 4 in by 2.5 in, walls 2 ft thick. Hipped roof with pantiles. External dimensions 27 ft by 24 ft; 30 ft high to the eaves. Currently a workshop, to be converted into a house. 1200 plus nest holes of brick. Originally one storey, now upper of two. Had a potence. (4)
