Cross erected 1893. (1)
Site visited 18/06/1991. Stone cross within iron railing enclosure. Inscription on base reads "Near this spot stood Pulpit Ash where Montpesson preached on coming to Eakring as Rector in 1670 AD after leaving Eyam in Derbys which had been decimated by the plague." Grid ref confirmed as correct. (2)
