Full Description

Henry VIII, on 3 July 1540, granted Osberton Grange, lying in Osberton, in the parish of Worksop to Robert Dighton, Esq. (1)
The present house, a private residence, still known as "Osberton Grange" is entirely of C19 built in red brick. All outbuildings are contemporary with the house. Not a trace of the preceding structure was seen. The owner knew nothing of the old house, and cannot say if it was on the same site. (2)
Grid ref is for the present building.
See M17465 for the modern farmstead.
