Scofton Hall (site). The Jessop family became resident at Scofton towards the close of the C16. Then the hall passed to the Banks family in the C17. The house finally passed to Francis Foljambe of Osberton Hall, in 1800, at which date he demolished it. In 1833 he built the present church across the ornamental water from Osberton Hall, on the site of Scofton Hall. (1)
