Full Description

The chantry chapel of St Helens was licensed in 1301 and 1307. Its present site is unknown, but the chantry certificate rolls of 1545 positioned it at 2000ft from the parish church in Bingham. (1) (2)
C 1300 Sir Richard de Bingham built for himself the chapel of St Helens and founded in it a chantry for masses to be celebrated there for his family. (3)
Noted by the Chantry Commissioners in 1546. (4)
