Dean Hall. C13 moulded stones in structure of present farmhouse. (1)
All that messuage or farm called Deane Hall, belonging to the preceptory of Newland in Yorkshire was granted with Shireoaks, near Worksop, and other things, to Robert Thornehill, and Hugh Thornehill and their heirs, paying yearly for Deane Hall… Dean-hall, an odd farm house… (Throsby). (2)
Boundary of the 'hamlet of Dean Hall' is present on the Caunton Enclosure map. (3)
