Site of almshouses in Newark churchyard (centred at above grid ref). Founded pre 1466 but not known whether suppressed in C16. (1) (2)
Churchyard was a garden of rest. The precise site of the almshouse is unknown to the church sexton, early church plans not being available. (3)
