Full Description

A decorated, octagonal cross base of c 1300 AD stands in Cromwell churchyard. A shaft and head were added c 1875 in memory of an incumbent's wife, and a sundial was said to be connected with the monument. (1)
Obviously not in situ, this socket stone, with its modern additions, is now a headstone to a grave at the E end of the churchyard, at SK 79965 61538. (2)
