Full Description

Site A - finds made in field adjacent to scheduled area. Ro pottery including grey ware, ? Nene valley ware, mortarium sherd and one sherd possibly IA scored ware. (1)
Subsequent field walking by A C Elliott the current owner of Kingshaugh has recovered further Roman material from this field including roof tiles, hypocaust tile, tessera, oyster shells and pottery. This evidence suggests that a villa may have existed in close proximity. (2)
