Full Description

Human remains discovered in SE corner of field during construction of houses. One adult lying supine with head to W, in poor condition. The feet and lower legs of another skeleton lay just to the W. Parts of other bodies reported but not seen. Later work disturbed at least 5 more burials, these were not reported or recorded. The site is c 300m from the church. Various metal objects were found in this field by Mr PJ Mason of Hall Farm, and are kept by him. They include a lead spindle whorl, a brass spoon bowl, a brass buckle, 2 brass crotal bells and a purse frame. (1) (2)
