Full Description

The new building for the Midland Agricultural College (now Nottm Univ School of Agric) was completed in 1915 and immediately commandeered for a POW camp. There is some information about 22 German officers who escaped in September 1917 through a tunnel, but most were recaptured shortly; 3 reached West Bridgford, and 4 Chesterfield. (1) (2)
