Full Description

WW2 pillbox stands isolated in a field. Looks concrete but too far from the path to be certain; looks in good condition. Presumably it was to cover the roads, A609 and A6002. (1)
Pillbox (type FW3/22). The pillbox is situated approximately 100yds from the A609 in the middle of a field with the entrance facing north. Approx 25yds to the north is a low rectangular wall which is possibly the remains of a machine gun site [not confirmed, photograph included]. The pillbox is hexagonal, concrete. Each wall 7ft x 7ft, entrance 4ft high x 2ft wide. Internal square pillar. Two complete concrete shelves and three broken. Machine gun site 10ft x 3ft concrete and brick wall. (2)
