Full Description

Established in 1940, the only cordite factory built in England during WW2 (built away from built up areas, but close enough to workforce). Various plant buildings can be identified on APs. Site visited, most has been cleared and landscaped. A few building surviving around the entrance are probably changing/mess rooms. Also a large steel framed brick building, probably an acid factory or nitrating house. (2) (3)
