Full Description

A complex area of earthworks comprising substantial hollows, mounds, and lengths of E-W linear bank and ditch. A number of mounds form regular sub- rectangular platforms fronting the Laneham road. Some of the ditches are obviously associated with drainage and may be quite modern, but the majority of the earthworks are similar in character to those of Whimpton DMV (04641) to the W, and may indicate another area of deserted past settlement. (1)
Morph: 160.4.1 toft, 160.4.2 platform, 160.4.3 platform, 160.4.4 platform, 160.5.1 hollowway, 160.5.2 unknown. (4)
See M4744 for church.
