Named 'Mill'. (2)
Watermill shown. (3)
Ref to mill in DB. It is now known as Scarthin Moor Mill and the present building, according to the datestone, was erected in 1897. It is a three storey building, four bays by two, in red brick and plain clay tiles. The water wheel was undershot, 16ft diameter by 4ft wide and was a replacement for the earlier mill in 1831. It drove two pairs of stones and was last used in 1956. It was still in place in 1988 although by then it was roller mill. (4)
It appears that just the mill house is listed.
