Full Description

This site has been both a paper and a corn mill. In 1362 it is listed as two watermills. It was a papermill from 1723 till 1800. It burnt down in 1883 and then it was 4 storyes high, with two breastshot wheels with a 16ft fall driving four sets of French stones. A steam bakery was added in 1915 and it burnt down again in 1916. The wheel that remains is reputed to have come from Bolham. (1)
