Horse drawn tramway…from Skegby Colliery to Skegby Wharf…described as a 'railway' in the 1844 Skegby Tithe Award. The construction of a railway branch line connecting Skegby Colliery the the Midland Railway c 1875 removed the need for tramways and holding wharves. (3)
